XMarkets (xmarkets.ca) · Last updated: October 25, 2026
This statement describes what information xmarkets.ca collects, why, and how it is handled. It is written to match how the site actually operates.
What the site collects
- WordPress account data. If you register an account on the site, the site stores the information you provide for that account (such as your username and email address) so the account works.
- Server logs. Like most websites, the hosting server records requests made to the site, including IP addresses, browser details, and the pages requested. These logs are used to operate and secure the site.
- Cookies. The site uses cookies for sessions (keeping you signed in) and preferences. It does not use cookies to build advertising profiles.
- Purchase records. When a purchase is made through the site, the site records it so its market pages can show accurate counts and listing states: the buyer’s wallet address, the listing, the amount, and the transaction hash.
Wallet addresses are public
Cryptocurrency wallet addresses and transactions are recorded on the public Avalanche blockchain, where anyone can read them. A wallet address is not private information, and connecting a wallet to the site does not give the site any private data about you. Purchases made through the site involve data that is already public on-chain; swaps made through the site are recorded on-chain only and are not separately logged by the site.
What the site never collects
The site never sees, asks for, stores, or can recover your wallet’s private key or Secret Recovery Phrase. Every transaction is signed in your own wallet, on your own device. If any page, message, or person claiming to represent XMarkets ever asks for your recovery phrase or private key, it is not us — do not provide it.
The exchange contract escrows tokens listed for sale and holds swap inventory according to its public code, which anyone can inspect on Avalanche.
How information is used
Information collected by the site is used to operate the site: accounts, sessions, security, market records, and the display of listings and statistics. We do not sell personal information to anyone.
Third parties
The site relies on a small number of service providers: its hosting provider (Web Hosting Canada), which operates the server the site runs on, and the public Avalanche network, on which all transactions settle. There is no third-party advertising or analytics profiling on the site.
Retention
Account data is kept while the account exists. Server logs are retained for a limited period for security and operations. Purchase records reflect public on-chain transactions and are kept as part of the site’s market records; the underlying blockchain record is permanent and outside our control.
Your rights (PIPEDA)
XMarkets operates in Canada and handles personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You may request access to the personal information the site holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for your account and its associated personal information to be deleted. To make a request, contact the site administrator (the operator of xmarkets.ca). Please note that information recorded on the public Avalanche blockchain cannot be altered or deleted by anyone, including us.
